     Fort Lauderdale, FL –   Together with Broward County’s military and veteran community, Mission United, the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity, the Florida National Guard, Florida Department of Veterans Affairs, and with the support of Florida Governor Rick Scott, WorkForce One Employment Solutions is hosting “Paychecks for Patriots” a free hiring fair. The hiring fair will be held on May 10, 2013, from 1 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Sheraton Airport Hotel, 1825 Griffin Rd., Dania Beach, Fla.

    “We are excited to partner with Broward businesses interested in helping our military community find employment. If you are a veteran just returning from service or a military family member, please plan on attending the hiring fair and speaking with a company looking to find new talented team members who have served our nation and defended our freedom.” Mason Jackson, CEO/President of WorkForce One Employment Solutions.

    WorkForce One Employment Solutions staff will also be on hand beginning at 9:00 a.m. the day of the event to review resumes and provide informative sessions on interview/social media tips and techniques. Registration for the in-formative sessions is required.

    Full registration in Employ Florida Marketplace is required for all attendees. Veterans or family members who plan to at-tend the event should pre-register at one of WorkForce One Employment Solutions three One-Stop service centers to avoid waiting in line the day of the event. For more information on the event, please visit www.wf1broward.com/pfpveterans.

    Paychecks for Patriots began last year when the Tennessee Department of Labor partnered with Dollar General and several major employers in Tennessee to connect veterans with jobs.
