FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, Zeta Rho Omega Chapter, has not missed a beat since the inception and devastation by the COVID 19 Virus. The chapter has continued to operate virtually in this new age that we are in with regards to our International Programs and Sisterly Relations activities.

President Osgood charged the Sisterly Relations Committee with coordinating virtual activities each Friday evening during the stay at home mandate to keep the chapter members engaged and to include the community when-ever possible. These are some of the activities that have made a difference in the lives of many:

*Business Expo Extravaganza – highlighted and promoted Business Owners from various chapters in the Broward County area

*Celebration Of Pentecost – opened to other chapters and communities as we worshipped together

*PearlNomics – guest speaker Dr. Rani Whitfield, “Tha Hip Hop Doc”, discussed the dos and don’t’s during COVID 19 and chapter members reviewed the important documents that should be completed to get your affairs in order

*Praise and Worship Service – featured speaker Madam Regional Director Carolyn Randolph as the Broward County chapters worshipped together.

President Osgood was thrilled to witness the positive impact that Zeta Rho Omega has made with the numerous activities that have taken place thus far. The chapter members and communities have been so appreciative of the fun, information, and support shown to them and their families during the pandemic. Hats off to the Sisterly Relations Chairman, Leslie Campbell, and the entire committee for an AKAmazing job on coordinating the numerous activities during these challenging times!
