     Just when you thought far-right attacks on public education couldn’t get any more absurd, we hear about something new.

     Trailblazing tennis luminary Althea Gibson’s historic strides in sports have empowered generations of Black athletes to boldly bring their excellence into spaces where they are often underrepresented and rise to the top. The late barrier-breaking player was honored in Harlem with a street renaming for her influence and impact on, and beyond the tennis court, NBC News reported.

Voters Want Change – Low Turnout Says Otherwise

      The National Black Farmers Association is worried that the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 will roll back debt relief provided Black, indigenous, and other farmers of color in the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021.

      Florida officials have arrested and charged 20 people with felony convictions and charged them with illegal voting, Florida governor Ron DeSantis said on Thursday, a move designed to show the muscle of a new office tasked with policing voting in the state.

     Dr. Anthony Fauci, who quickly became the face — and, for many, the voice of reason — of the federal government’s response to the coronavirus pandemic, announced Monday he would leave government service in December.

  It doesn’t take, Peter Traceit, the Street Detective, to discover that people are not turning out to vote which is an indication that “things will remain the same”.

   A woman in South Korea is thought to be the mother of the two kids, whose remains were discovered in luggage in New Zealand earlier this month. Before obtaining New Zealand citizenship, the woman was a citizen of Korea. Earlier in August, New Zealand police opened a homicide investigation after a South Auckland family reported discovering human body parts in a number of goods they purchased from a storage facility via an online auction.
