     While speaking to a group of pastors and community residents in North Broward, Superintendent, Vickie Cartwright said she will not hire anyone just because they are Black. She expects them to be qualified.

Democratic gubernatorial candidate Charlie Crist is taking nothing for granted in his campaign to unseat Governor Ron DeSantis. While Crist visits Florida’s diverse small towns and big cities, the abrasive DeSantis has yet to hold a meeting with any constituency or hear their concerns.  Crist on the other hand plays to his greatest strength: engagement.

     The street detective is also hearing that there’s a group of people who are trying to persuade Black folk to believing that a strong mayor is good for them and the possibility of a Black mayor of Broward is lurking in the shadows; however, that person will only be a puppet.

Philadelphia Saturday night, killing at least three people and injuring 11, police stated. Officers were patrolling the area when they heard gunshots shortly before midnight, according to Philadelphia Police Inspector D.F. Pace, who added that they saw “several active shooters shooting into the crowd.”

 Superintendent Cartwright defends her purge of Black administrators by asserting that she doesn’t hire someone just because they’re Black. If this is her philosophy, are we to assume that the only people she found qualified to fill her administrative positions were white? This assertion not only is disingenuous but represents  a white supremacist’s ideology to the extreme.
