Broward Education Foundation hosted the Broward Teachers Union 27th Annual Innovative Teacher IDEA EXPO Presented by Office Depot on Saturday, January 27 at Fort Lauderdale High School.

The Obesity Bill of Rights is the culmination of a yearlong, meticulous fact-finding effort involving experts and communities, marking a crucial turning point in the battle against the United States’ most pervasive and expensive chronic disease.

     Spearheaded by Commissioner Denise D. Grant, this collaborative effort aims to unite various stakeholders, including city authorities, law enforcement agencies, residents, business owners, and clergy members, to tackle safety concerns and reduce crime.

     Change is an action we all aim for or, contrary to some, try to avoid. Change brings on either positive motion or the force of a hand to do something that may not be in what was the original plan, but change is indeed a part of life. Change is what moves us forward. This premise is what Barack Obama stood for during his entire presidency, both consciously and subconsciously.

What is the Importance of Black History?

     Even with advances in science and medicine, thousands contract the virus each year. That’s why the United States observes National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day on Feb. 7. The annual observance aims to increase awareness about the disease’s disproportionate impact on Black Americans while rallying community members to help end the epidemic.

    John Steinbeck in 1937 authored a  novel entitled  “Of Mice and Men.” A central theme in this novel focused on enduring human values. Will SCOTUS’ values, integrity, and oaths to  the US Constitution influence their  decisions to protect democracy from insurrectionists?  Or will they retreat like mice? Now, SCOTUS faces a ruling for or against Colorado’s Supreme Court execution of  Section 3, disqualification clause. Will they rule that Trump is ineligible to appear on Colorado’s primary 2024  presidential ballot?
