       James O. “Chick” Hill, graduate of L.C. Anderson High School, Class of 1955, was inducted into the Prairie View Interscholastic League Coaches Association (PVILCA) Hall of Fame in Football at the 2021 PVILCA Banquet held on July 19, 2021, at the Marriott Hobby Hotel in Houston, Texas.  More than seven hundred guests attended the event.

Broward Education Foundation, the only 501(c)3 charitable organization solely dedicated to serving students and teachers in Broward County Public Schools, announced it is accepting nominations for the annual 2021 Hall of Fame awards. The annual event recognizes graduates of Broward County Public Schools who have made significant contributions to the community, their profession and in education.

     The July 28, 2021, Justice Department document warning election officials against destroying records is timely as Florida Secretary of State Laurel Lee (SOS) and the Supervisors of Elections (SOEs) in eight counties have been fighting efforts to stop the preservation of digital ballot images. Although more than half of Florida SOEs are preserving ballot images, the SOS and 8 SOEs have erroneously claimed that federal and state laws do not require them to be preserved.
