The suspect, who has been identified as a student, is still at large. After a shooting was reported on Culbreth Road at around 10:40 p.m., the university was instructed to remain indoors. Lockdown has been in place while police look for the suspect. Police have named the suspect as Christopher Darnell Jones, Jr. They think he is armed and dangerous. The two injured people are receiving medical attention.

Pieper Lewis, the Iowa teen who killed a man she claimed raped her and was sentenced to probation and ordered to pay restitution to his family, has escaped from a juvenile detention facility. Lewis “walked away from the Fresh Start Women’s Center on Friday at 6:19 a.m. after cutting off her electronic monitoring tracking device,” officials said, recommending her probation be revoked.

According to the statement, paramedics verified the deaths of six males and six women after arriving on the site. It is unknown who the victims are or how many shooters took part in the attack.  The hunt for the assailants is underway, with assistance from Guanajuato’s Secretary of Public Safety, the state prosecutor’s office, the Secretary of National Defense, and the National Guard. This is the second mass shooting in less than a month in Guanajuato, which has been wracked by vicious turf warfare between rival drug gangs in recent years.

  The San Antonio Police Department said in a video statement the officer was handling an unrelated disturbance call at the McDonald’s Sunday night when he saw a car, he believed had evaded police the previous day and called for backup. Before backup officers arrived, body camera video released by police shows the officer walk up to the driver’s side of the car, open the door, and order the driver out.

Just before 8 a.m. Saturday, authorities received a call from a man who said he and a hiking party saw the woman hiking alone on Capital Peak, which is about 14 miles west of Aspen. The woman fell when a rock she was attempting to grab onto gave way. The sheriff’s office contacted Mountain Rescue Aspen after being notified. The witness of the accident was able to provide the rescue group with the exact location of the woman’s body. The woman’s body was found and transferred to the Pitkin County coroner.
