Our nation has a problem that we only pass significant legislation if we have one party that has the House, the Senate, and the White House – if you think about it. Trump Administration’s biggest legislation was the tax bill. How was that passed? Because he had the House, the Senate, and the White House? The Obama Administration’s biggest piece of legislation was the ACA (Obamacare), because he had the House, the Senate, and the White House… It means that American citizens are addicted to getting duped by the system.

Two young quarterbacks battled it out Sunday in a shootout; Dolphins come out on top 34 to 31. In his second start Tua looked good completing 20 of 28 passes for 248 yards and two touch-downs, while rushing for 35 yards. Little by little, Tua will be getting better with each snap and getting comfortable making the right throws. It seems as if he is  improving each week. He offers his thoughts on Sunday’s performance, “I would say it was a lot better than the Rams game. We’re going to enjoy it and come in Monday and watch film with one another,” he says. “We’ll see what we can learn from and continue to work.” Even though Cardinal’s defense was able to get 3 sacks, Tua was still able to make key throws. This road game was a test for him, and he did well enough to pass.

“Look at the cities the nation is depending on in order to not re-elect an incompetent, racist, misogynistic president who has killed 230,000 Americans in seven months… Philly, Atlanta, Milwaukee and realize America is always leaning on Black people to save the day,” added Dr. Ebony Hilton, an associate professor of Anesthesiology and a critical care physician at the University of Virginia.

The 1,000 Black Families movement aims to address those very same inequalities. Having struggled as a single mother in the projects in New Haven CT, Dr. Roberta is all too familiar with the barriers that limit Black economic progress. After spending years speaking, writing, and teaching others how to break what she has dubbed “The Poverty Curse”, she seeks to share lessons she has applied to her own success with Black families looking to increase their overall wealth. And in keeping with that critical mission, Hoskie’s daughter, Allia, a senior at Morgan State University, an HBCU, has worked as the Managing Director of the 1,000 Black Family Program and has been instrumental in the program’s development.

“Still can’t believe that people voted for a man who has done nothing, but spit hate verbally, mentally, and physically (children being detained), and the reason behind many deaths because he did not take COVID seriously. The US will never be an equal country….it will always be divided because of the mindset of many. I see now why people choose to move out of the country!” – Donyalla R. Manns

The best art and fiction inspire and empowers. That is the spirit fueling sisters Tiana Scott and Nia Scott, and their brilliant creation Happy Monstah, which proudly features two Black girl leads. In exciting news, the Scotts recently celebrated the fact that the project will have a worldwide release by publishing giant Andrews McMeel Universal and marketed through Simon & Schuster, something that will give it every opportunity to touch as many lives as possible.
