Of course, every year in the month of February we celebrate Black History and that is something that we do not take for granted. For us here at the Westside Gazette, February is a special month as well because it is the month in which the Westside Gazette was founded.

Ol Pete scurried to the School Board building today to witness the final nail in the coffin of Dr. Vickie Cartwright. It was a sad occasion for Ol Peter because Cartwright has provided so much dirt for the Street Detective to sleuth through over the past year. To the surprise of many, Cartwright accepted a trimmed down separation agreement from what was negotiated days earlier. The community threw mud at the Board members for considering a deal that would cover their alleged misdeed for money and many questioned whether even casting a vote was ethical since the Board members accused of wrongdoing would benefit from the lucrative separation agreement.
Cancer deaths in the United States have decreased by 33% since 1991, with an estimated 3.8 million lives saved. Cancer claimed the lives of 10 million people worldwide in 2020. Cancer, not Covid-19, was the leading cause of death in the world during the previous three years. Cancer symptoms can be difficult to distinguish from those of many other illnesses. Unusual weight loss or gain, swelling or lumps in the groin, neck, stomach, or underarms, and fever and night sweats are all symptoms.

With the help of his mother Danielle, Nicholas hired a team of professional script writers, producers, a director, and then began creating his family friendly sitcom, Nick’s House. Nick’s House is about a 10-year-old business savvy kid who runs a successful business with his friends out of his parents’ home. The chaos ensues when his immature uncle, played by Comedian Boogie B. Montrell, moves in to be his nanny. Nicholas has taken on the role of creator, executive producer, and the star of the show.
