     It was obvious that several of the attendees had not expected this large crowd of mostly Superintendent Runcie supporters.

“One thing I think for sure about the missing teens is that human trafficking is a hotbed in my city [and around the country],” said Psychologist and Navy veteran Sheri Davis, who lives in Madison, Alabama. “I think it’s very easy for the courts and police to turn their heads the other way and not deal with the problem at hand.”

They teach us what truth is, how to define courage and what is the honest meaning of sacrifice.  Any adult we know is the sum total of their childhood and the aggregate of lessons learned and observed from childhood.  Dr. Brenda Snipes has made those who were her life examples proud.

     The settlement comes just one day after it was revealed that the former San Francisco 49er, who led the team to a Super Bowl in 2013, turned down a contract offer to play in a new developmental league.

Over the years, a disturbingly disproportionate number of Black women and girls across the United States have gone missing. What’s even more alarming is that the media coverag e and legislation that missing Black girls are getting seems to be lacking compared to missing white girls.

A History of Excellence

 Women, especially women of color and poor women, tend to suffer disproportionately in our healthcare system. The problem is growing worse now that there’s a group of trial lawyers eager to exploit female victims, under the guise of offering help. 

You may remember R & B singer Joe Simon’s hit “Power of Love” in 1973.   The title of that song has true meaning to Dr. Malcolm and Mrs. Emma Black.

     “We can confirm that the information received from the individuals questioned by police earlier in the Empire case has in fact shifted the trajectory of the investigation,” Chicago Police Department spokesman Anthony Guglielmi confirmed in a statement. “We’ve reached out to the Empire cast member’s attorney to request a follow-up interview,” he added.

     Leaders are shaped by several things, most especially the people around them as they move from childhood to adulthood.  The values we are given, the character we see modeled and the principles we are told to live by.   These things become anchors of our lives.
