The life of Dr. Isaiah L. White, Sr. is a remarkable story of grit, determination, and perseverance. As a young student, he was bullied and had to deal with teachers who told him he would be nothing. He also had multiple learning disabilities like dyslexia and spent most of his schooling in special education. Despite all of this, he still managed to recently graduate with a Doctorate degree from Wilmington University in New Castle, Delaware.

Tony and Israel, along with three other candidates, attended the NAACP’s Candidates Forum last Thursday at Saint Christopher Episcopal Church. All were there to present their vision and make a case for how they would lead the county’s top law enforcement agency.

ChildNet, a Community-Based Care lead agency that protects abused, abandoned and neglected children in the community, in partnership with other child welfare agencies and local stakeholders, will celebrate National Adoption Month with a ceremonial National Adoption Day on Saturday, November 23 at the Broward County Courthouse, during which 50 children will be adopted.

When someone is sick with a stuffy nose in our house, my mom uses a Neti Pot on us. It clears all of the yucky mucus in our sinuses and helps us breathe better instantly. It’s weird at first but you get use to it.

       This January, I am going to the Bahamas on a mission trip with my school. While we are there, we will be helping children who are in orphanages, and those who are disabled. We will be playing with the kids,  praying for anyone we can, and leading others to Christ. However, in order to go on this trip, we need to raise $800.

  On November 17, 2019, I went to the Broward County Courthouse to participate in a mock trial. This was an interesting experience.

       Last Saturday, Broward County School Board held a Daddy and Daughter Dance for female students in VPK, Head Start, and Early Head Start Programs at Carter Park.
