You as well as your Superintendents are to be commended for standing up to the Governorâs bullying tactics. His defiance of basic CDC health data as it relates to protecting our students and staff members from the deadly COVID-19 virus and mutating strains is absurd and dangerous. One would have to question how an individual with degrees from prestigious Universities such as Harvard and Yale could make decisions that endanger rather than protect and save lives. Everyone shouldâve at least learned in Civics that oneâs freedoms donât allow them to yell fire in a crowded theatre. Thus, why would any Governor consider it an infringement on individual freedoms to mandate masks wearing in order to prevent the spread of the deadly COVID-19 virus. Prohibition against masks mandates resulting in deaths should be considered a crime. Governors should be asked to name a freedom that results in the death of a human that isnât a crime. Believe it or not, suicide in theory is a criminal offense. Regrettably, the victim was also the murderer. Consequently, thereâs never a need for a trial. Our students should never be treated as canaries in a coal mine!

âGreg Abbott has had itâ
It has been 20 years since 9-11, and America has dramatically changed, and the world that we live in is moving at 100 miles an-hour. As President Biden honors the 2,977 Americans who lost their lives during that dreadful day, the Department of Homeland Security was created. It is one of the largest departments in the federal government, and is responsible for terrorist tasks and attacks.

Modern Liberalism Born
On Sept. 11, 1906, Mohandas Gandhi presented the mechanisms of resistance and civil disobedience that could be combined with love to create positive change and social justice. Addressing a crowd of 3,000 people in South Africa he described how to use moral force to oppose immoral legislation. His newspaper held a contest to name this world changing and life affirming tactic. They arrived at Satyagraha; âsatyaâ meaning truth and âagrahaâ meaning force or holding firmly to something. Satyagraha: truth-force was the love that we now know of as nonviolence.
Growing old in the newborn universe
Former President Obama famously expressed his belief about the âwar on terrorâ that âwe need to look forward as opposed to looking backward.â
Virginiaâs voters will pick the stateâs next governor in November. The choice couldnât be clearer, and neither could the national implications of this race in a bellwether state.  Not only is the Virginia election a curtain-raiser for the midterm elections of 2022, itâs also the biggest test so far of whether the Trumpified GOP can win major races.
We are all humans and we canât rest on the thought that we are safe in our own circles, but when you publicly interact with others the homeless and everyone else become a part of your circle. So why wouldnât we make a maximum effort to ensure that the less fortunate are informed and educated about the life-threatening act of not getting vaccinated?
