     The Apostle Paul stated that there are many things that, as humans, we can only partly understand (1Corinthians 13:12) Ezekiel saw a wheel in the middle of a wheel. No matter the sparkle, the beauty, the wonder, what it is is what it is.

In a lifetime, there are so many achievements to make and opportunities to seize. Not too many people have been given the opportunities as Jayda Washington-Boothe, a twelve-year old girl who has been blessed to make amazing strides so early in life.

  The partnership was established through a multidisciplinary media company that was co-founded by Kaepernick dubbed Ra Vision Media. Under the deal, Kaepernick will work with Disney to develop scripted and unscripted stories about racial injustice that will be featured across platforms under the Disney umbrella including Hulu, Pixar, The Undefeated, ESPN and Walt Disney Television. Kaepernick wants to use this partnership as an avenue to not only bring diverse narratives to television and film, but to also highlight the work of directors, producers and creators of color.

      You know the story; Coal miners sacrificed the life of the canary in order to save themselves from certain death caused by the odorless gas. Now the President, along with other heartless governors, are demanding that all public schools reopen for the fall. Our children to Trump are the canary in the coal mine.

As someone who believes deeply in education as a means to transform lives, move one’s future from being limited to one being extended, I want our children back in school as soon as possible.  But only if it can be done safely.  And not just safely for the children but for the teachers, administrators, maintenance workers, cafeteria workers and our school resource officers.
