       Here is a story about how truth, lies and deception played out in a man’s life from pain to freedom. Just like this painful situation we partake in hurt and cruelty in this life of a pandemic, political trickery, systemic racism just to name a few orchestrated plots to destroy.

     Can crippled Americans be made whole? “Yes we can”! We are not sitting at the gate begging; we are standing in the poll booths making a difference by voting. We do understand that “A voteless people is a hopeless people.” 

     While shining my shoes, I discovered that they were shiny on the surface; however, a closer examination revealed some crud in the cracks, frayed laces and deep scuff marks that took away from the shine.

      As I was listening to a radio commercial this morning about lactose intolerance, I was thinking if there was a cure for different people’s intolerance.

     If you, like me during your travels, run across a lot of different people in all kinds of circumstances, and if you have a building in the city or the hood, nine times out of 10 your building will be a resting place for the homeless and the downtrodden. My daddy told us to always have our door open because we never know when somebody will be in need.

Hate to hate…

     I didn’t see any remains of the little black kitten in the street; hopefully, it made it.

     The choices you make today will forever affect you tomorrow. We are always standing at the crossroads of life wondering which way to go. Each waking moment we are presented with the sober accountability for our choices. Our achievement or failure is because of the depth of astuteness we apply to our choice making.

If you dance to the music, don’t you know You’ve got to pay to the piper

     Based upon the comments and feedback I received  from last week’s editorial titled: Defined thoughts on filling the seat of Congressman Alcee Hastings, it is woefully clear that we are in dire need of a LEADER,  not just a seat filler who is there until the next opportunity arises.
