On Thursday, October 10, 2011, Dr. Jaffus Hardrick, President, along with Dr. Adrianne Cooper, Provost, and Associate Provost, Dr. Tamika Hobbs, honored the largest group of students who earned the distinction of making the Honor Roll, the Dean’s List, Honor’s Programs and Honor Societies at Florida Memorial University to date.

Horses Give Hope Education Foundation ended the year on a high note by introducing polo, coding and robotics to our youths. It held its third annual Charity Challenge with celebrity guest Malcolm Borwick, the former Coach of Prince William and Prince Harry.
50,000 thousand pencils, 17,000 pairs of scissors, 11,000 bottles of glue and 5,000 reams of paper were just some of the school supplies in 3,000+ boxes distributed recently to Big Brothers Big Sisters partner schools, thanks to the Publix Tools for Back to School program.
The City of Miramar Commissioners have approved $500,000 in funding for a commercial rehabilitation project in Historic Miramar. The grant was awarded to B&M Bakery and West Indian Grocery, located at 6959 Miramar Parkway, Miramar, FL 33023. The funding is an initiative to assist commercial property owners in the Historic area of Miramar and to complement nearby neighborhood improvements such as the Shirley Branca Park Bandshell and streetscape.

Over the past three years, I’ve fallen in love with Chili’s Southwestern Egg-rolls. They are a warm, chewy, and delicious appetizer . Since I cannot always go to Chili’s, I decided that I wanted to try to make the egg-rolls on my own, and let me tell you, it was a DISASTER!!
On October 5, 2019, I was able to attend homecoming at Alabama A&M University. It was my first time experiencing a Historically Black College University homecoming.
I find it important to give back to the community because of my upbringing , nurturing and values i was given as a child. It’s my offering because I’ve been given so much. In addition i know how it feels to go without and to not have at times.
