Jazz legend Mr. Terrell Stratford will bring his excellent tour to the Broward Performing Art Center on March 11th. He was a former band member and friend of the great McCoy Tyner. On March 9th 2011 an N.P.R. interview with Mr. Stafford expounded on how influenced he was by the talents of Billy Strayhorn.
The City of North Miami’s 2020 Black History Month Celebration will conclude at The Rap UP, the official NoMi Music Fest After Party. The Rap UP will take place Saturday, Feb. 29, at 10 p.m. at the NoMi Red Garden, 12351 N.W. Seventh Ave, North Miami.
The City of Miramar’s Vice Mayor Alexandra P. Davis will host the Afro Carib Festival at the Miramar Amphitheater, 16801 Miramar Parkway on Saturday, Feb. 29 from 6 to 11 p.m. This signature event is part of a month-long celebration of Black History Month.
