       As we reflect over this year, we notice that there were major changes to our economy and our lives. In March, COVID-19 became one of the deadliest viruses, killing millions of people. 

    Today I wanted to write an article about perseverance, and a great example of this is my grandmother, Janice Jackson who this past May graduated college from Old Dominion University.

         The United States is getting closer to authorizing a Covid-19 vaccine. These vaccines will require two doses. One to prep the body, after a few weeks, a second shot to boost the response.

       In 2019, we were able to travel and have a good time with the whole family or friends for Thanksgiving. However, 2020 Thanksgiving is nowhere near the same.

       On Saturday, the US Food and Drug Administration petitioned for an emergency use for Regeneron’s antibody cocktail to treat Covid-19 patients that are at a high risk and have mild to moderate symptoms.

    The United States has now surpassed 11 million cases of COVID-19 on Sunday.  This increase in cases has caused the country to enact even more restrictions to slow the spread of this virus.

       It was confirmed this past week that Joe Biden will be our new President, and Kamala Harris will be our Vice President.

       Last week, Friday, an incident took place in Texas. Presidential candidate Joe Biden’s campaign bus was traveling from San Antonio to Austin to urge voters to vote for Biden and cast their ballots. People in vehicles that were Trump supporters yelled  vulgar slurs and blocked Biden’s bus and his escorts.
