Academy Award®-nominated and Golden Globe®-winning actor, writer, director, producer, and philanthropist Taraji P. Henson will return to host the “BET AWARDS” LIVE from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. The “BET AWARDS” was the #1 cable award show among all adults 18-49 in 2021. “BET AWARDS” 2022 airs LIVE on BET on Sunday, June 26 at 8 PM ET/PT.
Formed in 2007, Spred the Dub has been building a steady following in South Florida with an intoxicating blend of jazz, soul, funk, reggae, ska and dub. The Miami Herald said, “…their sound is an eclectic mash up of grooves and ‘riddems’ incorporating elements of reggae, jazz, funk, soul and good old rock n’ roll which reflects the cultural melting pot that is their home.” The group has played stages all over the state of Florida, opening for nationally touring acts such as Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad, Dirty Heads, The Mystic Roots Band, The Movement and reggae legends such as The Skatalites, Eek-A-Mouste, Black Uhuru and Yellowman.
This animated action film is the brainchild of Lamard Cher-Aime, chief executive officer, Cutting Edge Animation. Mr. Cher-Aime also suffers from major depressive disorder and he is a suicide survivor. Mr. Cher-Aime uses this animated film to destigmatize mental illness, encourage individuals to seek treatment and raise awareness about the greater need for services in the Black community.
