They’re girlz in the hood. Two young women trying to make it from “Friday” and “Next Friday” to “Friday After Next.” And as they do, they take viewers on a journey through working class Los Angeles that feels like it was ripped from the past and updated with a modern feminist twist.

All six seasons of A Different World, the iconic sitcom that aired from 1987 to 1993, will be available on Netflix starting February 7th. The series, which featured a majority-Black cast, remains a cultural milestone offering a glimpse into Black college life.

Ralph, who plays Barbara Howard on the Philly-centric public school sitcom “Abbott Elementary,” will receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Wednesday, Jan. 29, at 11 a.m.
